On January 31, 1865, Congress approved the Thirteenth Amendment.  The next day, even though the President has no formal role in the amendment process, President Lincoln signed the Amendment before sending it along to the states for ratification, calling it a “King’s cure” for the evil of slavery. To celebrate the 150th anniversary of this powerful moment, we encourage you to sign a copy of the Thirteenth Amendment, just like President Lincoln did.
